It was a pitching duel for the first 4.1 Innings until Cleveland got on the board with a 2 run homer in the 5th. The Rays offense would finally wake up in the 6th inning. Ryan Vilade stayed hot with a RBI single which made the game 2-1. The Rays would then break the game open in the 8th inning. It started with a Jonathan Aranda home run to tie the game at 2. The Rays sweep the Twins, winning the last game of the series 4-2. The Rays never trailed the entire series. The Rays would get all of their runs in the 3rd inning. It started with Jonathan Aranda staying hot and knocking a 2 RBI single to give the Rays a 2-0 lead. Yandy Diaz would come up right after him and blast a 2 run opposite field home run to give the Rays the lead. The Rays pitching staff held the Twins in check. It started with Griffin Jax who opened the game for the Rays. He went 2.1 IP striking out 2 and not giving up any runs. Jesse Sholtens came in after him and worked the bulk innings. He would go 4.1 IP only giving up 2 runs which came on a 2 run home run in the 7th inning that made the game 4-2. Cole Sulser worked 1.1 IP not giving up any runs before handing it to Rays closer Bryan Baker. Baker pitched a clean 9th inning picking up the save. The Rays beat the Twins 6-1. It was an all around great game for the Rays. It started with a Luke Fraley blasted a 2 run homer in the 4th to make it 2-0. Shane McClanahan held it down for the Rays. He went 5 IP allowing 0 runs and 7 strike outs. After McClanahan went out the Rays extended their lead. Ben Williamson had a RBI triple in the 7th to make it 3-0. Nick Fortes also had a RBI single which made it 4-0. The Rays would add another in the 7th then added one more in the 8th to cap off their scoring. After a Chandler Simpson RBI ground out in the 3rd made it 2-0, Jonathan Aranda destroyed 1 of his 2 home runs of the night in the 4th inning to make it 3-0. The Twins would get one back in the 5th on a home run of their own to make it 3-1. The Rays would get that run right back in the 6th inning with another Jonathan Aranda homer which made it 4-1. The Rays picked up a much-needed win, beating the Reds 6–1. Tampa Bay finally got off to a hot start, putting up three runs in the 2nd inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Ben Williamson to take a 3–0 lead. The Rays drop their 3rd game in a row, losing to the Reds 12-6. It was a disaster from the start for the Rays. Rays starter Steven Matz gave up 3 home runs in the first 2 innings and it was 4-0 right away. It did not get better after that. The Reds added their 4th home run of the game in the 5th inning to make it 5-0. Then added 4 runs in the 6th inning to make it 9-0 and the rout was on from there. The Rays would get on the board with a Jonathan Aranda 2 run home run in the 6th which made it 9-2. The Reds would add even more runs in the 7th to make it 11-2. The Rays would pitch infielder Ben Williamson in the 9th. That would result in the Reds adding another run to make the final 12-2. The Rays added 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th. But it was way to late at that point to mount a comeback. The Rays will have a quick turnaround as they play an afternoon game tomorrow as they will look to salvage the last game of the series. The Rays win an incredible game 8-7 against the Pirates. This will go down as one of the craziest games of the year. The Rays got down 4-0 after 4 innings. Then there was a 2 and a half hour rain delay. Right after the rain delay the Rays would take the lead game in the 5th inning with a 5 run 5th highlighted by a Jonny Deluca 2 run double. The score would remain 5-4 until the 8th inning. The Pirates would tie the game with a 2 out single to make it 5-5. Then the madness would start in extras. No one would score in the 10th inning. In the 11th Taylor Walls scored on an error all the way from 1st. The Pirates would tie the game in the bottom of the 11th. After no score in the 12th inning Cedric Mullins blasted a 2 run homer to take a 8-6 lead. But the Pirates would not go quietly. They would score to make it 8-7 and got the tying run to 3rd with 2 outs. But Yoendrys Gomez would get out of it to secure the win. The Tampa Bay Rays win streak stops at 6 after a 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Rays could never get it going in this one. After the Pirates took the lead in the 2nd inning to make it 1-0 it would be a pitchers duel until the 6th inning. In that inning Junior Caminero ripped a RBI single to tie the game. That Caminero hit would be just 1 of 3 Rays hits on the night. The Pirates big swing came off the bat of O'neil Cruz he destroyed a 2 run home run off Griffin Jax to give the Pirates a 3-1 lead in the 6th. The Pirates would add 2 more in the 9th to put the game away. The Rays offense could not gain any momentum after that as the Rays could not mount a comeback. Nick Martinez started for the Rays and battled. He went 5.1 giving up 8 hits and 3 walks but pitched around the damage to only give up 2 earned runs. The Rays push their win streak to 6 after their 4-3 win vs the Chicago White Sox. After trailing 1-0 after 3 innings, Taylor Walls continued his hot start to the season with an RBI single in the 4th inning making it 1-1. Runs were hard to come by for both teams in this one. The White Sox would scratch across another run in the 6th inning to make it 2-1. The Rays answered right back with a 2 out 2 strike RBI single by Richie Palacios to tie the game at 2. The White Sox would deal a major blow in the 8th inning. Former Ray Evanson Pereira hit the go ahead home run to give the White Sox the 3-2 lead. But the Rays answered right back in the 9th inning with a monster Junior Caminero homer to tie the game. The Rays would then load the bases with 2 outs and Hunter Fedducia drew a clutch walk to tie the game. Steven Matz started for the Rays and was good again.
