Dr. Nizam Missaghi is an American citizen who was born in the United States but grew up in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Missaghi lived under Iran’s theocracy belonging to a faith the Islamic Republic refused to recognize, which made his future success nearly impossible in that country. Footage from a police dash camera show the vehicle being swarmed and fireworks being fired off. Dan suggests a $10,000 bail, and require parents to show up. There is a potential ballot question being petitioned right now that aims to ask MA voters if they are in favor of a gradual personal income tax reduction that would lower the rate from 5% to 4%. Last September, Artie T. Demoulas, the former CEO of New England grocery chain Market Basket, was ousted from the company. Following the firing, the company’s board filed a lawsuit to uphold its decision to which Artie countersued. Artie’s firing stemmed from a claimed resistance to board oversight, failure to include his three sisters and their families from business decisions and for planning an alleged work stoppage. Sweet Cheeks Bakery in Amesbury, MA is a local bakery known for their cookies. To help kids learn about running a business, owner Renee Terry introduced the “Mini Manager” program that allows kids to experience firsthand what it looks like to run a business. The program received lots of positive feedback from kids, parents, and the community so that’s why it came as a surprise to Renee when she received a letter from the Attorney General’s office stating they received a complaint alleging she was violating MA Child Labor Laws. The Strait of Hormuz was opened Friday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. “The passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. In response to the news, the price of oil quickly plummeted by more than 10 percent, to less than $89 per barrel. According to a new Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll, incumbent Senator Ed Markey leads challenger Congressman Seth Moulton by 17 points in the Senate Democratic Primary for Massachusetts. Concerns have come up regarding Markey’s age (79) and whether he’s too old to serve another 6-year term, however according to the polls, age criticisms don’t appear to threaten Markey’s front runner status.
