Up All Night With Rhonda Shear Is Now On ROKU The Continuation
4/26/2026
Rhonda Shear in Her Own Words: 'Up All Night' Is Back and She Just Launched Her Own Roku ChannelThe 'Up All Night' host on reboots, reinvention, and why the best is absolutely yet to come.Rhonda Shear has always blazed her own trail. When she auditioned for the hosting role that would make her a late-night icon, she walked in with a curling iron and plugged it in mid-audition. Then she started doing her hair in front of the casting directors. She'd been told too many times that she was too pretty to be funny, so she chose to be outrageous.Shear got the job, of course. For eight years, she hosted Up All Night on USA Network. A generation of horror fans and committed night owls never forgot her. I called her on a recent Monday morning to talk about the show's reboot, her intimate apparel empire, and why, at this stage of her life and career, she has never been more herself.Up All Night originally aired on USA Network from 1989 to 1998. Shear hosted the show for all eight seasons, introducing audiences to horror, B-movies, and the kind of sharp, self-aware comedy that, she'll tell you, the industry wasn't entirely ready for at the time."Back then, women in comedy just were not accepted," she explains. "You were very typecast."Shear defied the stereotypes and was unapologetically funny. She went on to film over 430 episodes, working with several different producers over the show's run. She remembers, "I got to work with some iconic people that all went on to do major amazing things, each one had their own style.""When I go back through this footage, I'm wowed by the things that we were doing. We were so ahead of our time on the show. For example, we were putting commercials within the show. That's the kind of stuff that you see on social media now."USA Network apparently destroyed all the original footage of the show. But Shear, as she has proven repeatedly in her career, is not someone who allows herself to be defeated. "I always save my work," she tells me. "I have tons of all my content. If I could get it or tape it or get it from a producer, I always got stuff." In her contract, she had negotiated two VHS copies of every episode, so there would be one for herself and one for her mother in New Orleans. "So I have all the footage of the show. All of the sketches."Sassier, and Somehow Even Funnier" Fans have been asking for a reboot of Up All Night for decades. Shear never stopped loving the show, either. Even with her own brand she had on the Home Shopping Network, she paid homage to the show that made her famous. She used humor to talk about the intimate apparel products she designed and sold. The catalyst came when Shear started attending fan conventions. "I went to one, and the lines were amazing. I was, like, shocked myself, and fans told us we need to reboot Up All Night."She and her husband had already created a fully equipped media studio called Shear Media Studios. It's used for podcasting, influencer shoots, live shopping on TV, film, commercials, and more.

What I Wish I Knew About Luck From Dr Tina Seelig
4/26/2026
In “WHAT I WISH I KNEW ABOUT LUCK: A Crash Course on Turning Aspirations into Achievements” (HarperOne) - STANFORD UNIVERSITY professor and bestselling author: TINA SEELIG - dispels the myth - noting that what we call luck is really the deliberate actions of hard work. From being born into the “right” family to someone helping you with a flat tire – Dr. Seelig tells us that what most consider lucky is really fortune. Meantime, luck, has to do with the choices you make and the risks you take as opportunities arise. With accessible tips and bite-sized lessons, Seelig breaks down the necessary components you need to create your own lucky opportunities. As she shared in her popular TED Talk - luck is like the wind, constantly blowing, often unpredictable, and always in motion. And to catch the winds of luck, you need to construct your sail by doing the internal work that sets the stage for success; recruit your crew by bringing others along; and hoist your sail by acting in ways that lead you closer to your goals. With these practical tools in hand, the winds of luck carry you toward the future you dream to live. The book is filled with memorable examples, personal anecdotes, and behavioral science research.

Why Do We Exist The 9 Realms Of The Universe From Hakeem Oluseyi
4/26/2026
A boundary-breaking astrophysicist reimagines the universe-and our place within it-in this audacious journey through the Nine Realms of the cosmos."This book explains the universe and then quietly explains you. Which is unfair, because I was just trying to read about space. . . . Smart, funny, and unexpectedly moving."-Sarah Silverman, comedianThe universe gave rise to everything: stars and cells, minds and memories, purpose and pain. But it doesn't care about us. It follows its own rules. And now, according to Dr. Hakeem Oluseyi, we finally understand enough about those rules to ask the big questions like we mean it: Why do we exist? Are we alone? How did we get here? What comes next? And-perhaps most urgently-is there reason to hope?Heck yeah, there is!Dr. Oluseyi is no ordinary scientist. A former street kid turned world-renowned cosmologist, he realized something bold: The story of existence can be told as a passage through nine interwoven realms-each revealing a new layer of cosmic truth. There's the Middle Realm, where we live; the Realm of Life, where organisms flourish across the vastness of space; the Cosmological Realm, where galaxies dance and collide; the Dark Realm, dominated by unseen energy and invisible forces; the Quantum Realm, where reality defies intuition; the Temporal Realm, where time begins, flows, and perhaps ends; the Multiverse Realm, where our universe may be one among many; the Realm Beyond Horizons, where observation breaks down; and the Realm of Imagination, where insight, curiosity, and creativity shape our understanding of it all.In Why Do We Exist?, Dr. Oluseyi cracks open these realms with clarity, humor, and radical honesty, bridging cutting-edge physics, personal narrative, and philosophy. The result is a blueprint for understanding reality itself and a surprising case for human potential in an indifferent cosmos.

Elegant Weapons From Judas Priest Richie Faulkner Breaks It Down
4/25/2026
We evolve over the course of a lifetime. Depending on how much work we actively put in, the process may slow down or speed
up, but it never stops.
Since emerging in 2023, Elegant Weapons have rapidly progressed in real-time. This quartet of lifelong musicians—guitarist
Richie Faulkner [Judas Priest], vocalist Ronnie Romero [Rainbow, MSG], bassist Dave Rimmer [Uriah Heep], and drummer
Christopher Williams [Accept]—have rallied around a collective vision. Of course, their peerless musical pedigree provides
endless fodder for creativity, but the band’s commitment to collaboration is really what detonates their sonic arsenal. They’ve
architected a signature style sealed tightly by unforgettable riffing, surgically precise solos, bold grooves, and skyscraping
hooks.
Exhibiting both a craftsman’s attention-to-detail and an innate knack for arena-ready anthems, they push forward again on
their second full-length offering, the aptly titled Evolution.
“Finding a voice of your own as a technical player and as a songwriter is a never-ending journey,” Richie observes. “You’re
always trying to strike the elusive balance between thrilling listeners and communicating with them. All of us are in other
groups. We sound different on our own. When the four of us come together though, we sound like Elegant Weapons. We
wanted to be recognized as a band who is growing and evolving as one.”
The world got its first taste of Elegant Weapons with the release of Horns For A Halo in 2023. The record immediately reacted
with fans and tastemakers alike. Among many standouts, “Do Or Die” reeled in over 2.8 million Spotify streams, while
Blabbermouth assured, “as a recipe for an excellent, heavy metal time, Elegant Weapons have everything sorted,” and Classic
Rock hailed the LP as “a killer debut album that zings with vitality.” Meanwhile, the group lit up the stages of Hellfest, Graspop
Metal Meeting, Resurrection Fest, and beyond in addition to supporting Pantera.

The Sleeper Agent The Rise Of Lyme Disease From AW Finnegan
4/25/2026
Adam Finnegan didn't set out to write a book about biological warfare. He just wanted his life back. In 2016, a single tick bite launched him into a living hell of dizziness, vertigo, searing headaches, and a fatigue so profound it stole the man he used to be. He walked the halls of modern medicine only to be told he'd be fine in a few weeks, and when he wasn't, that he wasn't sick at all. He was a ghost in his own body, abandoned by the very system designed to heal him.His Lyme disease diagnosis wasn't an ending; it was a terrifying beginning. It was a key that unlocked a door he never knew existed. As he fought for his own health, a single, haunting question drove him: Why? Why was this disease, and the chronic illness it created, such a medical mystery? Why were so many being told they weren't sick? His personal battle for survival became an all-consuming obsession for the truth. This quest led him down a rabbit hole of classified history, to a German virologist named Dr. Erich Traub and the top-secret labs of Plum Island. In a Herculean effort no other researcher had undertaken, Finnegan, fighting his own debilitating symptoms, collected and translated Traub's entire archive of German research. He discovered the scientist's chilling work on "immune tolerance” the very mechanism that allows a pathogen to hijack the body and create chronic illness, turning it into a "Great Imitator" that evades diagnosis. The Sleeper Agent: The Rise of Lyme Disease, Chronic Illness, and the Great Imitator Antigens of Biological Warfare was born from a seven-year battle for survival. It is the direct result of one man's refusal to accept his fate. This isn't just a book; it's a roadmap of his personal investigation, a journey that began with his own symptoms and ended with a staggering revelation: the science behind his suffering may have been engineered in a laboratory as a weapon of war.Finnegan turned his personal pain into a relentless pursuit of the facts, meticulously documenting his findings with official records, declassified documents, and the testimony of intelligence insiders. This is the story of how a man fighting a disease in his own blood uncovered a biological secret hidden in the shadows of history. His fight is your fight, and his discovery is a revelation that could change everything we thought we knew about chronic illness.

The true story of the corrupt and violent town of Borger, Texas in 1927―and the legendary Texas Ranger tasked with taming it.Just a year after the town of Borger, Texas was founded, the press called it "the wickedest in the state" for good reason. The town, sprung into existence overnight to support the oilfields, was a second chance for many residents but had also become a lawless haven for bootleggers, pimps and gamblers, run by a crooked city hall. That environment attracts some of the most unsavory characters in prohibition America, including a gang of murderous bank robbers who head into Borger to spend their money on booze, gambling and prostitutes. In the span of weeks, the gang kills three law enforcement officers, bringing the worst heat imaginable: legendary Texas Ranger Captain Frank Hamer, years before he will lead the 1934 posse that tracked down and killed criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. His arrival threatens to break even this hardest boomtown in America―if it doesn't kill him first. What follows is one of the most thrilling and violent untold stories from the era of gangsters, lawmen and vice. The Rolling Stones The Biography From Musician And Music Historian Bob Spitz
4/24/2026
THE ROLLING STONES: The Biography (on sale April 21, 2026) offers readers an all-access backstage pass to one of popular music's greatest stories. Drawing on hundreds of new interviews and five years of archival research, award-winning author Bob Spitz delivers an unprecedented, richly detailed portrait of the band that redefined rock 'n' roll-and whose power shows no signs of fading, over sixty years on.At its heart, this story is about two boys, Mick and Keith, and their unique, fraught, alchemical bond, tested through the years but never broken. The bandmates, like Charlie Watts, who found their groove in relation to this double star, made the trip intact, while those who struggled, like Brian Jones and Mick Taylor, were chewed up and spit out. Spitz vividly traces the Stones' artistic inspiration, pivotal moments in the band's rise and reinvention, and the deeply human stories behind the myth.Along the way, Spitz revises many elements of the conventional narrative, underscoring just how carefully the band has controlled its own story up to now. One small example: no, Muddy Waters was not mopping the floors at Chess Records when the Stones showed up. But in a larger sense, as with the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, Spitz's greatest gift is for the big picture. He knows where the magic is, and why it is. Spitz is as clear-eyed a connoisseur of the show business, the spectacle, and the collateral damage of this whirlwind as anyone alive, and he serves as an essential guide to the band's unique history. The story of The Rolling Stones has many dark moments, including a surprising number of deaths. But whether Jagger and Richards sold their souls to the devil at the crossroads for blues greatness or just squeezed their heroes for every drop of inspiration, in the end their connection to their music and to each other put them in a category of one. Rock music fans and pop culture lovers alike will be captivated by this wild ride
